Broccoli is is one of the most important ingredients in the chicken broccoli bake. It helps the meal to become more taste worthy and also gives vegetables that can be very good for your well being.

Broccoli is one of those vegetables that most people either love or hate, mostly because of its flavour. It is known as Brassica oleracea italica as it is a native food to the Mediterranean. It came to be from cabbage relative by the ancient Etruscans, who were very clever for their time.

Broccoli can have a very good impact to your detox benefit. Glucoraphanin, gluconasturtian and glucobrassicin are three glucosinolate phytonutrients found a special combination  in broccoli. It helps to support the detox process and eliminates unwanted contaminants


Studies have shown that children below the age of 5 enjoy eating broccoli and this is one one way for them to eat there daily needed vegetables. Over cooked broccoli becomes soft and mushy and loses its nutrients and flavour. So next time you are making broccoli make sure not to overcook them because it then does not help or provide the need nutrients to your body.

The way you should prepare broccoli is to cut it up into quarters and let it sit for a few minutes. Then cook it to improve its health benefits. Steam for 5 minutes. Broccoli can be served with so many different meals that there is no harm always having some ready in your home.
